Manual1950 Studebaker Champion 2-Door Sedan – Beautifully Restored
This 1950 Studebaker Champion 2-door sedan is beautifully restored in its original Aqua Green and powered by the matching 170 cu. in. I-6 engine producing 85 horsepower. It features a three-speed column shift manual transmission and has been converted to a 12-volt charging system.
The current owner purchased the car from the Midwest several years ago after its restoration and has driven it only approximately 800 miles, mostly to local shows and parades. During ownership, the brake system—including master cylinder, shoes, and hardware—was replaced, front and rear bumpers and guards were replated, and new 205/75R/15 wide white-wall tires were installed. Please note, as with all cars of this vintage, it does not have power steering or power brakes.
The Champion is in excellent condition for a 75-year-old classic. The paint and bodywork are very good, with no bubbling or cracking, appearing to be a 2-stage basecoat/clearcoat finish. All glass is original and in good condition with no cracks or chips, and windows and vent wings operate smoothly. Exterior lights—including turn signals, brake, reverse, and high beams—are fully functional.
The interior was restored in the original cloth material and looks excellent. The dashboard shows very well, and all factory gauges and options, including vacuum wipers, function properly (clock is the only exception). The radio has been upgraded to AM/FM and uses the exterior antenna for reception.
