BlueVehicle Description:
Explore the world of classic customization with this exquisite 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster. This roadster, a standout in vibrant Blue, boasts a timeless Tan vinyl interior, beautifully complemented by delicate Light Blue and Tan pinstriping. It embodies the spirit of early Ford custom designers, adding a unique touch to any collection.
Engine and Performance:
Under the hood, this stunning roadster is powered by an 8BA-generation 239ci Flathead V8 engine. It features earlier generation center port 59A Offenhauser finned aluminum 24-stud heads and an Offenhauser dual carb aluminum intake. The engine is fitted with Ford 59 carburetors and Edmonds oval aluminum air cleaners. The spark is delivered with precision, courtesy of a Mallory dual-point distributor and a billet heat shield-enhanced coil. The ceramic coated exhaust headers channel through twin Smitty mufflers, producing an unmistakable hotrod sound. This powerhouse delivers approximately 125 horsepower, efficiently transmitted through a floor-shifted 3-speed manual transmission and a Ford 9-inch rear axle.
Chassis and Build:
This 1932 Ford Roadster was thoughtfully constructed starting in the mid-1990s on a new 1932 style chassis. It features a modified and reinforced front & rear 4-link parallel suspension with horizontal leaf springs. The front end includes a 4-inch tubular drop axle with a manual steering box, drum brakes, braided stainless steel brake lines, and Pete and Jakes chrome shock absorbers on all four corners. The fiberglass body, expertly molded by Downs Industries, includes wood and steel reinforcements, with hidden door and trunk hinges. For added comfort, the cockpit is stretched by 2 inches to provide extra legroom.
Exterior and Interior Features:
Adorning this vehicle is an eye-catching shade of blue, meticulously pinstriped by the renowned artist, Shakey, in 1998. The roadster includes a complete steel hood assembly, already painted to match. Inside, the cockpit is equipped with Stewart Warner instrumentation, turn signals, a classic banjo steering wheel, a tinted windshield with wind wings, a wood shift knob, and plush carpeted floor mats. New 12-volt wiring and a fuse panel ensure electrical reliability.
Wheels and Tires:
Rolling in style, the car features 15-inch chrome wheels and hubcaps, wrapped in BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial whitewall tires, measuring 165R15 at the front and 255/70R15 at the rear, offering a striking appearance.
Ownership and Title:
Proudly titled as a 1932 Ford, this Roadster offers a clean title, ensuring peace of mind. Don’t miss the chance to own this era-correct custom Ford Roadster, a vehicle that effortlessly marries tradition with the thrill of driving.
