Classic 1971 Volkswagen Convertible – Restored and Well Maintained

This 1971 Volkswagen Convertible is a beautiful classic with lots of care and attention given to its restoration. The car was repainted in its original white enamel color, preserving its timeless look. Additionally, a custom cloth interior and color-matching convertible top with boot were added to enhance both comfort and style.

The interior is in excellent condition with no tears, broken seams, or rips, and it’s worth noting that the owner is a non-smoker. An Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo system with 4 speakers was installed for a modern touch, providing great sound while cruising.

Key Details:

Engine and Transmission: The original fuel-injection system was replaced with a carburetor (34-PINT-3) during a rebuild about 4 years ago. Since the rebuild, the car has only been driven about 500 miles. It starts easily and runs smoothly.

Body and Restoration: The body is in great shape with minimal bondo. The rear sections of the floors were replaced, but there are no signs of rust or bubbling coming through. The restoration is showing minor signs of age, but overall, the car remains solid (please refer to the photos for detailed views).

Electrical: Everything appears to work perfectly, from the headlights to the wipers and stereo system.

Suspension & Tires: The stock suspension is in good condition, and the car sits on 165/60R/15 Nexen radial tires that were installed in 2023.
