BlueDiscover the enchanting allure of the 1930 Ford Model A Coupe Highboy. This distinguished vehicle is a perfect blend of vintage charm and skilled craftsmanship, making it a prized possession for car enthusiasts. Constructed with utmost attention to detail, this Highboy is a testament to the timeless appeal of classic automobiles.
This exceptional vehicle boasts an original California steel body, paired with an illustrious 1938 21 Stud Flathead V8 engine. The engine is enhanced with period-correct components, including a cam and adjustable lifters, Offenhauser heads, a Weiand intake, and triple Stromberg 97 carburetors, ensuring a performance that is as exhilarating as it is authentic. Coupled with a 3-speed manual transmission from a 1939 Ford, this Highboy promises a driving experience steeped in history.
The body was sourced from California approximately two decades ago and was in superb condition, necessitating only a minor panel repair on the passenger side before being painted in a magnificent Washington Blue variant. This unique choice of color brings out the car’s elegant design, complemented perfectly by red steel wheels with chrome hubs.
The stance of the car remains unaltered since it has not been chopped or channeled, preserving its authentic appearance. The high-quality craftsmanship extends to the interior, featuring clean grey vinyl bench seating and equipped with Stewart Warner gauges for accurate monitoring. A newer 16-gallon gas tank is situated in the rear, with a filler conveniently located inside the trunk.
For additional comfort, the car includes a tilt-out front windshield complete with a visor and all glass in pristine condition. The undercarriage of the Highboy is equally impressive, painted clean with dual exhaust and drum brakes from a 1940 Ford providing reliable stopping power.
The vehicle is expertly outfitted with 1933/34 commercial headlights that incorporate turn signals, as well as essential features such as a wiper and E-brake. Ride comfort is further enhanced by newer Excelsior radial tires.
With a meticulously maintained history and a clean title, this classic Highboy not only runs and drives exceptionally well but also serves as a remarkable piece of automotive history. Take the wheel and experience driving excellence, embodied in this splendid 1930 Ford Model A Coupe Highboy.
