1956 Chevrolet Corvette – Rare Resto Mod Project Opportunity

Here is a rare opportunity to complete a 1956 Chevrolet Corvette as either a Resto Mod or a stylish cruising classic. This year marks one of the lowest production totals for the Corvette, with just 3,467 units built—making it a highly collectible base.

One of the standout features is its stunning 2000 Corvette Torch Red paint with white coves, professionally applied just over a year ago using single-stage urethane. The color combination looks fantastic and turns heads.

The current owner has lost interest in completing the build and is looking to sell.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:
• Rebuilt 350 cu. in. Chevy V8
– 10:1 forged pistons
– 4-bolt main bearings
– Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold
– HEI ignition, chrome alternator, and new starter
• New aluminum radiator with thermostatically controlled fans
• New exhaust system
• Transmission: Borg Warner T10 ‘fine spline’ with Hurst shifter

BODY & PAINT:
• New front clip (not original)
• Originally a hardtop-only car – a new soft top was purchased but stretched at the seams; braces and hardware are in new condition
• Torch Red paint with white coves – recently applied, excellent visual appeal
• Left trunk hinge is slightly bent and not attached
• Passenger door needs hinge adjustment
• Hood needs alignment; latch mechanisms are missing
• Includes NOS hood release cables and wiper motor
• Exterior chrome shows age – suitable for re-plating
• All exterior lights and turn signals function properly
• All glass appears in good condition
• Driver and passenger windows need adjustment

INTERIOR:
• New seats, carpeting, dash pad, and Dynamat insulation
