Description:
1965 Dodge Coronet Hemi restomod—a true Mopar enthusiast’s dream. This vehicle underwent a complete rotisserie restoration and was finished in May 2020. Every aspect of this car was carefully crafted with attention to detail, resulting in a flawless, collector-grade muscle car.
Key Features & Highlights:
Engine: A brand new 572 cubic inch Hemi V8 that has been meticulously built and fully documented (binder included). Estimated at 750 horsepower at the flywheel, this engine is equipped with Edelbrock aluminum Hemi heads and a magnesium cross-ram intake with period-correct 770 Holley carbs. Fuel is supplied by a stealth fuel pump inside a new factory fuel tank, and tuning is made easier with wideband O2 sensors for each exhaust bank.
Exhaust: Features 2-inch TTI headers flowing into 3-inch pipes, delivering an aggressive and unforgettable sound.
Transmission: Fully rebuilt Torqueflite 727 with a billet rotating assembly, paired with a Gear Vendors overdrive for comfortable highway cruising. The car also features a Chrysler 8 ¾ rear axle with Detroit TrueTrac and 4.10 gears.
Suspension: The rear suspension includes super stock leaf springs moved 3 inches inboard to accommodate large tires, along with adjustable shocks and disc brakes on all four corners. The front suspension uses heavy-duty Hemi torsion bars and also has brand-new components for a smooth and controlled ride.
Wheels & Tires: The car sits on 17-inch vintage-style American Racing wheels, with Mickey Thompson drag radials at the rear to ensure the horsepower makes it to the street.
Interior: The custom interior features reupholstered 1965 Dodge A100 van bucket seats, known for being the lightest available in the 1960s. Autometer gauges have been integrated into a custom panel, and the interior is completed with a one-off Con2R steering wheel and Painless Wiring for the electrical setup.
Additional Details: The body of the car is laser straight, having been fully media-blasted and fitted with new lower quarter panels, trunk pan, front floor pans, and fenders. The car has been repainted in a stunning base coat/clear coat black, and the interior is finished in a vibrant Chrysler red. The rear fenders were tubbed to accommodate the larger tires, and the attention to fit and finish is impeccable.
This 1965 Dodge Coronet Hemi Restomod is a rare and exceptional vehicle, combining modern performance with classic Mopar muscle car style. With only 564 miles since the completion of its restoration, it’s ready to hit the road and turn heads wherever it goes.
