Black1966 Chevrolet Corvette Restomod – LS6 Big Block
This 1966 Corvette Restomod features a fresh 454 LS6 engine producing 538 HP, finished in brand-new black paint. The build includes an L88 hood, 1967 front clip, fender flares, six tail lights, Wilwood brakes, custom suspension, and a new Al Knoch interior. The project was inspired and driven by legendary champion and chassis expert Dick Guldstrand. There is no other Corvette like this in the world.
Engine Specifications:
The 454 LS6 is .030 over, totaling 468 cubic inches, and includes Sealed Power hypereutectic pistons, Manley forged crankshaft, Lunati H-beam rods, and a GM HP roller cam (0.585/0.585, 228/230 degrees). Additional components include Speedmaster stainless roller rockers, Canfield 310 aluminum heads, GM L88 low-profile intake, Holley 870 CFM Street Avenger carburetor, Holley dual-feed electric fuel pump, MSD ignition, wires, and distributor, Hooker Competition side-mount headers, and side pipes with muffler inserts and custom heat shields. Cooling is handled by a BeCool crossflow radiator with electric fans.

Muncie M20 wide-ratio transmission (2.52:1) with second-generation upgrades

Suspension, Brakes & Chassis:
VBP front and rear composite monospacing conversions
Wilwood brakes with stainless steel brake lines
Bilstein B6 shocks
New BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires
VDP offset trailing arms to accommodate larger tires
Painted frame and undercarriage in excellent condition
Interior:
A complete new Al Knoch interior including door panels, side panels, carpeting, trim, and custom black leather seats with red inserts and red stitching. The car is insulated with Heat Shield HP Armor at the firewall and Dynamat on the floors, and features a new dash pad.
Paint & Finish:
Paintwork was completed by a SEMA-winning shop in West Palm Beach, Florida, finished in Mercedes black with five coats of clear, satin black trim, hood stinger, and wheels. All weatherstripping is new.
Mechanical & Electrical:
Mechanical work was completed by The Vette Shop and Muscle Express in Jupiter, Florida, including a new fuel sending unit, tach-drive distributor, Hurst shifter, power steering cylinder and hoses, spark plugs, tune and timing, master cylinder, LED headlights, and a custom stereo with high-end speakers and Bluetooth capability.
