This Camaro was restored and modified by Petty’s Garage on behalf of Mahle, and was later awarded as the grand prize in a giveaway at the 2018 Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo in Las Vegas. A Mahle-produced video series documenting the car is available for viewing below.

The original drivetrain has been replaced with a 427-cubic-inch LS V8 and a TREMEC TKO-600 5-speed manual transmission. According to a dyno sheet shown in the gallery, the car produces approximately 443 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

The first-generation Camaro debuted in late 1966 as Chevrolet’s response to the Ford Mustang.
