Silver Blue1970 International Harvester Scout 800A Aristocrat – 383 V8 | 4×4 | Restored | Rare Model
Highlights:
This is a 1970 International Harvester Scout 800A Aristocrat, finished in silver and blue with a blue hardtop and blue interior.
According to the seller, this Scout is a recently restored example and is powered by a BluePrint 383-cubic-inch V8 crate engine, replacing the factory unit. A dyno sheet shows it produces approximately 437 horsepower and 474 lb-ft of torque.
A line setting ticket (pictured in the gallery) confirms that this is a rare Aristocrat model, which was introduced in 1969 with two-tone paint and upgraded trim. This Scout is equipped with a Crawler Proven Technology 4-inch lift kit, rear air shocks, and a removable hardtop, among other upgrades.
Launched in 1961, the Scout was International Harvester’s answer to the Jeep CJ. It quickly gained a reputation for durability and off-road capability, available in multiple body styles including pickups and wagons. The Aristocrat trim stood out with a factory two-tone paint scheme and added comfort features. The Scout line evolved until its end in 1980.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels via a TCI high-horsepower-rated 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission and an NP208 2-speed transfer case.
